Harlin B. Freeburger, 92, died on November 12, 2016. He was born on March 21, 1924 to Charles and Virginia Freeburger in Uniontown, Kentucky. He had one brother and four sisters and was predeceased by his parents and siblings. He was married to Bettie Marie Crabtree on August 5, 1950, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage and three children, a son, James Harlin, and daughters, Sandra Dawn (Deitz) and Cheryl Marie (Lucas). He is survived by his daughters, his son-in-law, Jimmy Lucas, his grandson, Bryan Lucas, Bryan's wife, Darcy, and two great grandsons, Nate and Cole Lucas, along with nieces, nephews and many friends. Mr. Freeburger was a World War II veteran and worked for 41 years for AT&T. He was a deacon in his Southern Baptist Church and a Past Master of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No. 9. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. In 1936, he became a Chicago Cub fan and, on November 3, 2016, he celebrated their World Series Championship. Visitation will be at Tomblinson Funeral Home, in Henderson, on November 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with funeral services to follow. Brother Ellis Payne will preside. A private burial will be held thereafter with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony's Hospice or to a charity of the donor's selection.
