Harlin Scott

Harlin “Pete” Scott, Jr, 84 of Slaughters died on July 17, 2015 at his home. He was born in Onton on September 23, 1930 to the late Harlin Scott, Sr. and Agnes Daugherty Scott. He was retired and a 57 year member of Laborers’ International Local Union #561 . He was a member of Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church in Slaughters, a 60 year Mason of Slaughters Masonic Lodge #347, and a life member of the BASS society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Davis Scott in 1975 and his wife Ula Dean Scott in 2013. He is survived by: Son - Harlin D. (Mona) Scott of Slaughters Daughter - Robin (Randy) Locke of Dawson Springs Brother – Joseph N. Scott of Fenton, Missouri Sister – Angeline Daugherty of Slaughters Grandchildren – Heather (Stephen) Smith and Jon (Lyndsey) Scott all of Slaughters Great-grandchildren – Brittanie Smith, Tyler Smith, and Kennedy Scott whom is on the way. Several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Monday, July 20th, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel with Dr. Bob Hardison officiating. Burial will be at Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 19th from 4-8 pm at the funeral home and on Monday from 9:00 am until service hour. There will be a Masonic service by the Slaughters Masonic Lodge #347 on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brett Knight, Tyler Smith, Stephen Smith, Barry Russell, Kenneth Boyd, Kem Knight, Larry Tabor and David Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Onton Cemetery Fund, 27 Melton Lane, Sebree, KY 42455.
