Harold Howell, Sr. 58 years old, died on Tuesday March 12, 2013, at 8:00 AM at his home in Mortons Gap, Ky. He was born on August 10. 1954 in Chicago, Ill to Harry Howell, Sr and Margie Jones Howell. He attended New Good Hope Church in Mannington, Ky and loved attending singings with his wife and Higher Vision singing group. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Howell, Sr.and one sister, Diana Daughtery. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Orten Howell , his mother , Marjorie Stevens and stepfather Billy Stevens. Mother and father in law, Richard Lee (RL) and Carolyn Orten. One son Harold R. Howell, Jr. of Glasgow, Ky. one stepdaughter Daphane Thomas of Nortonville and one stepson Norris Quentin Brooks of Madisonville. Three sisters, Debra Howell of Mortons Gap, Linda Pleasant of Mortons Gap and Johanna Shelton of Madisonville. Two Brothers Harry Howell, Jr. of Mortons Gap and Larry Howell of Chicago, Ill. Five Grandchildren, TaCody Strader, Dustin Strader, Hunter Brooks, Trevor Brooks and Adam Heise. And several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 AM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home with Brother Larry Phaup officiating and Sister Lexia Lovik speaking .Burial in McKnight Cemetery in Dawson Springs, Ky. Pallbearers will be Gary Bivins, Lean Parker, Dustin Strader, TaCody Strader, Hunter Brooks and Trevor Brooks. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday March 15th and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
