Hattie Mae Cabell, 84, of Henderson passed away Tuesday November 20, 2018 at her home. She was born in Henderson on October 4, 1934 to the late Guy and Annie (Stephens) Cosby. Hattie had professed her hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson. She worked in housekeeping at Methodist hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Cabell, 3 sisters Thelma Burton, Marie Cosby and Emily Cosby, 4 brothers Monroe Cosby, Melvin Cosby, Joseph Cosby and Alfred Cosby.Survivors include step-son James Hickerson and wife Vickie of Henderson, 2 nephews Randall Vincent of Henderson, Reginald Vincent and wife Marva of Danville, IL, 3 nieces Patricia McFarland of Owensboro, Ethelda Vincent of Indianapolis, Janette Brown and husband Russell of Gary, IN, several great-nieces and nephews. Betty Sandefur her best friend and caregiver of Henderson, Terrie Estes, Cynthia Cosby and Willie Randolph caregivers all of Henderson and her baby dog Duke. Services will be at noon Monday, November 26, 2018 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson. Rev. Robert Esters will officiate. Visitation will be Monday 11AM until service time at the church.Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.
