Hazel Lee Pleasant

Hazel L. (Newman) Pleasant, 88, of Henderson went to be with the Lord at 4:11 PM Tuesday August 28, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was a retired LPN for OB Unit at Methodist Hospital where she was retired for over 43 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lola Lee (Reeder) Newman and Harry Lofton Newman, her husband Clarence Pleasant, one sister Annie Laura Wood, two brothers Locket Leroy Newman and Harry Clay Newman. She is survived by 3 Daughters: Donna Irene (Pleasant) Stone and husband R. Steven Glenda Kaye Pleasant Kimberly Dawn (Pleasant) Morris 1 Son and faithful caregiver: Clarence “Bubby” Pleasant Jr. 3 Grandchildren: Brandon Steven Stone, Shauna M’Lee (Stone) Siewert and Shaylee Clare Morris 2 Special little boys, her great-grandsons: Brady Steven Siewert and Will James Siewert. 2 Sisters: Francele (Newman) Griffin Martha Dean (Newman) Walker 1 Brother: Truman Newman Many nieces and Nephews All of Henderson Services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 31, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Mary Wrye and Rev. Ralph Chaney will be officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM and Friday 11:00 AM until service time. Pallbearers will be her nephews: Otis Walker, Bryan Newman, Johnny Pleasant and Eddie Pleasant, Great-nephew Ryan Thomason, Bryan Henshaw, Mel Dickson and Warren Grace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scarlet Herron, Andrea (Hall) Steele, Kelly (Varble) Turner, Joann Willett, Sunday D.
