Helen Virginia Stevenson

Helen Virginia Stevenson, 101 of Corydon passed away February 6, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. Helen was born in Henderson County on July 9, 1920, to the late Ray and Carrie (Kavanaugh) Snider. She was an 80-year member of Cairo United Methodist Church and loved cooking. She also raised her siblings and her loving family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James “Whit” Stevenson, her siblings Carl Snider, Charlie Snider, Ernest Snider, Vera Caton, Owen Snider, and her granddaughter Tracy White. Helen is survived by her children Pat Hamby, Bobby Stevenson (Emma), Barney Stevenson (Ann), Darlene Stevenson and Alex Stevenson (Rhonda); her sister-in-law Opal Snider and her 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday February 11, 2022, at Corydon Cemetery with Rev. John Choi officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Cairo United Methodist Church, St. Anthony’s Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
