Henry "Frank" Ransom

Henry “Frank” Ransom, 86, of Henderson, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

He was born in Henderson on January 2, 1937 to the late E. Woodrow and Virginia (Staples) Ransom.

Frank was retired from Perfection Hydraulics and was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He served in the Kentucky National Guard and loved his family and his dog, Bonnie. He enjoyed watching UK sports, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ransom and brother, Woodrow Ransom Jr.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Ligon (Brian) of Reed, Kim Howard of Henderson, Darla Frields (Glenn) of Henderson, and Tommy Ransom (Tammy) of Henderson; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Turner of Morganfield and Pat Williams of Texas; nieces and nephews; and his dog, Bonnie.

Graveside services will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3 with Pastor Mike Spivey officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Pallbearers will be Michael Scherretz, Matt Scherretz, Samuel Frields, Judd Pritchett, Craig Squier, and Mike Brigance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Zion Baptist Church.
