Herschel Watkins

Herschel Watkins, 92 of Henderson passed away Friday December 9, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Hershel was born in Anthoston to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Watkins.

He was a member of IBT and Gracepoint Church in Henderson and enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Herschel was retired from Zenith Electronics and moved back to Henderson and worked for Hugh F. Sandefur Center and worked for the school at Bend Gate Elementary as a Lunchroom Monitor. He delivered food for meals on wheels.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Powell, his siblings Charles Watkins, Raymond Watkins, James Watkins, Louis Watkins, Herbert Watkins Jr., Elizabeth Chaney, Ethel Richardson, and Margaret Floyd.

Herschel is survived by his children Steve Watkins (Devon), Jimmy Watkins, Shirley Hagan, and Lisa Moore (Michael) and 9 Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday December 16, 2022, at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.
