Hester Elizabeth Darr

Hester Elizabeth “Betty” Darr, 80 of Evansville, IN and formerly of Poole, KY (She had lived with her daughter in LaVergne, TN off and on for 7 years) passed away at 1:00 A.M. Friday August 19, 2011 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born June 16, 1931 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Richard and Pearl (Berrong) McCormick. She was a housewife and had sold Home Interior Products for many years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Antioch, TN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dorris H. Darr (1983). She is survived by a son; Doug Darr of Henderson, KY 2 Daughters; Darla and husband Harvey Rath of LaVergne, TN Kay and husband Kenny Brantley of Corydon, KY 5 Sisters; Velma and husband Frank Dunn Beverly and husband Bobby Williams Linda and husband Frank Corbett Joy McCormick Karen and husband Rick Lewis All of Evansville, IN 2 Granddaughters: Jennifer and her husband Willie Joe Rideout and Jamie Givens 2 Step-grandsons: DeWayne and wife Amy Brantley and Dillion and wife Sam Rath. 6 Great Grandchildren and 4 Step Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews 2 Special Friends: Dot Mullins and Michael Duncan Services will be held Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Kevin Thomas and Bro. Roy Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dunn, Michael Wayne Dunn, Dennis Dunn, DeWayne Brantley, Michael Duncan, Tom Richie and Eddie Presley The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Paul Moore and Staff.
