Hilda Marie Chamberlain

Hilda Marie (Shaffer) Melton Chamberlain, 90, of Sebree passed away at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Thursday March 23, 2017. She was born in Mt. Zion, Maryland to the late Walter Herman and Ruth Viola (Brown) Shaffer. She was a member of Crosspointe Church in Owensboro, Ky. She retired from the Webster County School System Sebree School as a cook. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and most of all going to church. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and showed that through her sweet spirit. She fought a good fight and endured great pain. Now the battle is over and she is wilth the King. No need for walkers or wheelchairs there. She has been made perfectly whole. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband David Herman Melton (1971), second husband Leamon Chamberlain, 4 brothers Lewis, Leonard, Russell and Cletus Shaffer and 1 sister Eva Bullock. She is survived by children: David and his wife Shirley Melton of Niceville, FL, Janet and husband Chuck Stinnett of Sebree. Step-daughter: Ann and her husband Johnny Marsh of Sebree , Sister: Margaret Morlock of Hanover, Pennsylvania, brother Paul and his wife Mary Shaffer of Berkley Springs West Virginia. 7 Grandchildren: Lonney and his wife Lisa Melton of Niceville, FL, Michelle Atkinson of Niceville, FL, Samuel and his wife Crystal Melton of Niagara, KY, Matthew and his companion Lindsey O'Neil of Nashville, TN, Robert Stinnet and his companion Katie Jenkins, Brice and his wife Kendra Marsh of Sebree, Casie and her husband Matt Corbett of Slaughters. 13 Great-Grandchildren 1 great-great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 25, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree with Bro. Farrell Isenberg officiating. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday March 24, 2017 and 9-11 AM Saturday March 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Pall bearers will be Matt Jewell, Rob Stinnett, Lonney Melton, Sam Melton, Seth Melton, and Weston Melton.
