Hilda Louise Demoss

Hilda Louise DeMoss, 97, entered the gates of heaven on March 31, 2012 at 3:52 PM at her residence in Mortons Gap, KY surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born March 5, 1915 in Hancock County, KY the daughter of the late Jr. Huff and the late Sarah Gist Huff. She retired from the Hopkins County Hospital in 1975 where she worked as an LPN. She was a devoted Christian who played the piano, was a Sunday School teacher and secretary for the New Lakeside General Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY. She was also a dedicated University of Kentucky Basketball fan. She was preceded in death by 1 brother Stanley Huff, 1 sister Thelma Gilmore, Grandson Tony Allen DeMoss, and her husband Calvin "Mitt" DeMoss in 1970. She is survived by 3 Sons: .lerry (late Virginia) Demoss, Bremen, KY, Donald (Doyce) DeMoss, Madisonville, KY, Darrell (Judy) DeMoss, Mayfield, KY. 2 Daughters: Glenda (Eugene) McKinney, Hopkinsville, "KY, Faye (late Marshall) Coakley, Mortons Gap, KY. 1 Brother: Floyd Huff, Joplin, MO. 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 22 Great-Great Grandchildren, and 18 sets of 5 Generations. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Reid- Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY. Bro. Jerry Williams and Bro. Terry Barnes will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 3,2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at Reid- Walters Funeral Home. Burial will be at Emberry Cemetery in Vandetta, KY. Pallbearers will be Michael Coakley, Arron Delvloss, Gennie Lanier, Clayton Smith, Hannah Smith, Christopher Bozell. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff DeMoss, Chelsey Jarrett, Shelby Smith.
