Hobert Franklin Mcdaniel Jr.

Hobert Franklin McDaniel Jr., 89, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Hanson, KY. He was born July 30, 1928, in Chattanooga, TN. He lived in Henderson, KY the majority of his life. Hobert retired a maintenance man from Methodist hospital after years of faithful service. He served in the Navy, earning the rank of Fireman 1st Class before being honorably discharged. He was also proud to be a Kentucky Colonel and Freemason. He was a member of Hyland Baptist Church in Henderson and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Michael McDaniel (spouse Dawn) of Melbourne, FL; Keith McDaniel (spouse Jean) of Wilmington, NC; Debra Macer (spouse Charles) of Chandler, IN; his grandchildren, Joshua Macer (spouse Melissa), of Lake Charles, LA; Erin McDaniel, of Wilmington, NC; Devin McDaniel of Wilmington, NC; Chantelle Halling (spouse Robert), of North Port, FL; Joshua Parsons, of Orlando, FL; Jeremy Parsons (spouse Jessica) of Merritt Island, FL; nine great grandchildren; sister in law, Sue Capps of Henderson, KY; special companion, Marilyn Walden, of Henderson, KY; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hobert Franklin McDaniel Sr., Lila Mae (Trippe) McDaniel; brother, Harold McDaniel; sisters, Margie Joyce and Donna Jean; wife, Anita (Ziemen) McDaniel; daughter, Pamela McDaniel; and Grandson Matthew McDaniel. Hobert's viewing will be held at Hyland Baptist Church in Henderson from 12 PM to 2 PM Friday, June 15, 2018. His funeral service will start immediately after with Pastor Kenny Kidd officiating. Hobert will be buried at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson with full Military Honors. A reception will follow the burial at the Hyland Family Life Center.
