Homer Loyd Watson, Sr., 84, of Smith Mills passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born in Henderson on September 6, 1932 to Larkin Thomas and Rosie Watson. He was a welder and avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters Cathy Watson and Vicki Quinn and 2 brothers Ray Watson and Tucker Watson. Survivors include his spouse of 57 years Jerri Watson, 4 children: Homer Watson, Jr. (Katherine), Glenn Watson (Pamela), Tina Boston and Karen Watson all of Smith Mills, 1 sister: Nellie Young of Henderson, 2 brothers: Charlie Watson of Henderson and Dorris Watson of Corydon, 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday September 12, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Rev. Tony Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-6PM and Monday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice. Pallbearers will be Joseph Boston, Jacob Boston, Jeremy Boston, Daniel Watson, Dylan Quinn and Mason Quinn.
