Hugh Bishop Majors, 95 of Sebree, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sebree on February 16, 1921 to the late Ralph King and Amanda Pauline Majors. He retired from the Webster County Water District. He was a member and past deacon of the Sebree First Christian Church. He was a WWII Veteran, a Kentucky Colonel, past Police Officer for The City of Sebree, 1995 Citizen of the Year for The Sebree Chamber of Commerce, and past charter member of The Sebree American Legion. He served on the Sebree Volunteer Fire and Rescue for 70 years. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid UK Basketball fan, and enjoyed spending time with his breakfast friends at the Sebree Dairy Bar. In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Ora Lee Ashby Majors. He was also preceded in death by his great granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Jones. He is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Bob) Farmer of Henderson, Kathy (David) Evans of Bowling Green, and Jana Denton of Henderson; grandchildren Bryan (Lori) Farmer of Cartersville, Georgia, Tiffani (Jason) Jones of Morgantown, Traci (Charles) Duff of Bowling Green, Tamara (Jacob) Davis of Lousiville, Tori (Chris) Gerbig of Bowling Green, Clint (Merritt) Evans of Bowling Green, Sarah (Lance) Wayne of Robards, Katie (Joseph) Daniel of Poole, and Wade Denton of Robards; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY. Rev. Bill Anderson and Rev. John McCurry will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-7:00 PM Saturday and 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Sebree Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and members of his breakfast friends at the Sebree Dairy Bar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sebree First Christian Church, Sebree Fire, and Rescue Department, and Saint Anthony Hospice in Henderson, Kentucky.
