Iris Virginia Taylor

Iris Virginia (Floyd) Taylor, 87, Sebree passed away at her residence Sunday June 9, 2013 PM She was born December 17, 1925, in Webster County to the late Vaughn Edward and Iris Gustine (Watson) Floyd. She was an inspector at Carhartt, and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Sebree. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gilbert Taylor, a son Robert Lancaster, 3 brothers Eugene and J.M.and David Earl Floyd, and 2 sisters Frances Russell and Verna Mae Wedding. She is survived by 1 son William “Bill” Lancaster and his wife Cheryl of Sebree, 2 daughters: Paula Basham of Sebree and Rhonda Taylor of Booneville, IN, 4 sisters: Ruby Walker of Robards, Joyce Taylor of Sebree, Maude Harmon of Sebree, and Sue Bradley of Poole, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday June 15 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Bro. Eddie Berry and Roy Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 PM Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Alan Russell, Mark Taylor, Roger Taylor, Jeremy Walker, Bruce Floyd, Jeff Bradley Honorary pallbearers will be Angel Pitsonbarger, April Taylor, and Paula Oglesby. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
