Ivan Walker Chamberlain

Ivan Walker Chamberlain, 92 of Sebree, KY passed away at 6:35 PM Saturday July 31, 2010 at the home of his daughter in Sebree. He was born in Onton, KY on December 27, 1917 to the late Marion and Bessie (Walker) Chamberlain. He retired from Agrico in Henderson, KY. He was a member of the Bailey-Onton Masonic Lodge 538 in Sebree. He had also been a weather observer for the National Weather Service in Paducah for over 50 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Edith Louise (Odom) Chamberlain, a daughter Theda Nance, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter; Freda and husband Tommie Oglesby of Sebree, KY Son-in-law; James A. Nance of Sebree, KY 4 grandchildren; Brad and wife Pam Oglesby of Henderson, KY Jennifer and husband Tim Dempseyof Henderson, KY Penny and husband Steve Gibson of Henderson, KY Deborah and husband Jerry Hinton of Tildon, KY 2 brothers; Franklin and wife Elsie Chamberlain of Henderson, KY Marion Chamberlain, Jr. of Henderson, KY 8 Great grandchildren Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Pastor Kevin Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree. Visitation will be Tuesday August 3, from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday from 9:00 Am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hinton, Aaron Jennings, Dale Holt, Robert May, Joe Sutton, and Nick Utley. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice of Webster County.
