Ivory Kenneth "Kenny" White, Sr.

Ivory Kenneth White Sr, better known to his family as “Papaw Kenny”, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his wife Linda and family at home, on August 23, 2024.

Kenny was born on June 10,1945, in Henderson KY to the late James and Mildred (Richmond) White.

Kenny wore many hats. He was a husband, a dad, a mentor, wood worker and more. He retired from the coal mines and along with his wife, ran many successful  business’s. He was a member of First Assembly of God and for many years help run the children’s puppet ministry.

Kenny enjoyed  family gatherings  the most and often was heard saying, “you can’t beat a good hotdog”.

He was always smiling, never complaining, and he enjoyed life to its fullest.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his son, Ivory Kenneth White Jr; brother, Richard White, and sister Demova Curson.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 50 years Linda (Simpson) White; Children, Toni Lingerfelt (Ernie), Kimberly Crowley (John), Denise Gee (Chuck); siblings, Betty Moore, Lavina Walker, Wanda Howell, Grace Turner, and Jr. White. Grandchildren; Jennifer Howard, Natasha Arnett, Candice Lingerfelt, Jessica Lingerfelt, Ashley Robertson, Heather Manion, Beth Brown, Nicholas Crowley, Crystal Windhaus, Brittany Stone, Josh Gee, Dalas Pyles, Cody White, Tyke White, M’Kenzi White, Connor Hallmark. Kenny was blessed with many great grandchildren as well.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with  Rev. Ernie Lingerfelt officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2024, from 11:00am until service time.
