Jack Pruden

Jack Lenn Pruden, 69 of Spottsville passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice and surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born in Henderson to the late Morris “Buck” and Virginia (Heppler) Pruden.

He was a member of Spottsville Missionary Baptist Church and worked for the Operating Engineer Local 181. Jackie was a kind man who was true to his word and steadfast in his ways. He was a diligent worker, a fierce community supporter, and a lifelong friend to many. Jack loved being outside and would take the same route every morning where he could visit with his friends and keep up with the local news. He was an avid arrowhead hunter and had a passion for history. He and his wife Cindy created a beautiful family who he adored with his whole heart, especially his grandchildren.

Jack was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cindy (Swearer) Pruden; his children Jessica Pruden and Cody Pruden (Kelly) all of Spottsville; his grandchildren Addy Pruden, AnnsLee Pruden and Jake Pruden and his lab, Stanley; his sisters Sherry Benson (Jim) and Jodi Pruden, both of Owensboro, Ky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 3, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Brothers Paul Davis and Hal Branson officiating with burial to follow in Chaney Cemetery in Spottsville.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Sunday October 2, 2022, and on Monday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Reed Pruden, Stevie Heppler, Lafe Benson, Dub Ross, Mike Mitchell, and Karl Raley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Squirrel Ferguson, Leon Bruce Jr., Jim Benson and Boots Alexander.

Expressions of sympathy can take the form of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
