Jackie “Jack” Crook, 79 of Corydon passed away Thursday May 21, 2015 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was born in Weaver, Iowa on August 19, 1935. He was adopted in Henderson Co. to Benjamin and Mae Crook. He was a truck driver for Southern States and an owner of a Conoco Service Station in Corydon. Jackie was a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother Chester Ervin, 1 sister Shirley Hicks and an infant son Robert Benjamin Crook. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Barbara Sue Crook 2 children: Jackie Gene Crook and wife Lisa of Corydon Tammy Pinkston and husband Ricky of Corydon 2 Brothers: Roy Ferrell of Benton Ralph Rowe of Benton 4 grandchildren: Shanon Thomson and her husband Michael, Brennen Crook and his wife Natasha, Dagney Hargis and her husband Adam and Darrick Pinkston and his fiancé Katie Floyd. 4 great-grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be noon Sunday May 24, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Rick O’Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4-8PM and Sunday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brennen Crook, Darrick Pinkston, Michael Thomson, Adam Hargis, Earl Wayne Fredrick and Harold “Buzz” Fredrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Brooks, Glenn Pinkston and Archie Hicks. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
