Jackie Garrett Denton

Jackie (Garrett) Denton, 71 of Onton, KY passed away Sunday April 20, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Madisonville, KY on June 21, 1953 to the late Jack David and Bettye (Outlaw) Garrett.

Jackie was a member of the Sassafras Grove Church in Onton. She was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and loved her church family. She retired as a Recreational Therapist from Owensboro Daviess County hospital where she worked for over 30 years. Jackie was known for telling you what she thought but in a nice way.

She is survived by her husband; Noble Denton, Daughter; Laura Hurt and husband Michael of Owensboro, KY, son; Bruce Peercy and wife Tabitha of Utica, KY, step son; Tim Denton and wife Crystal of Henderson, KY, step daughter; April M. Denton of Evansville, IN, Sister; Jennifer Denton and Husband Danny of Onton, KY, brothers; Johnny Garrett and wife Janet of Sebree, KY, Jason Dale Garrett and wife Angela of Madisonville, KY, Jessie Dean Garrett and wife Angela of Slaughters, KY, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the Sassafras Grove Church with Brother Bill Willis and Brother Jackie Townsend officiating.

Burial will follow in Sassafras Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at Sassafras Grove Church 2077 Sassafras Grove Rd, Sebree, KY.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Caldwell, Robert Wilson, David Rakestraw, Nathan Parker, Zach Pyle and Kevin Pryor.
