Jackie “Jack” Lee Simmons, 72, of Sebree passed away 3:02 AM July 13, 2009, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born November 5, 1936 in Onton to James Perry and Rachel (Borum) Simmons. He had retired from Whirpool in Evansville. He was also a member of Slaughters Masonic Lodge #347, Past Master and Secretary, District Deputy Grand Master. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Rizpah Shrine where he was Past Recorder. He also belonged to the Order of “Q” and the Royal Order of Jesters. He was a member of Webster County Water Board and the American Legion. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and US Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Hawkins) Simmons of Sebree, KY. 2 sons: Michael and his wife Joan Simmons of St. Petersburg, FL David Simmons of Seminole, FL 1 step-daughter: Susan Huff of Owensboro, KY 1 step-son: Don Silvers, Jr. of Evansville, IN 1 sister: Barbara and her husband Ray Howton of Madisonville, KY 2 brothers: James and his wife Bobbi Simmons of Slaughters, KY Bill and his wife Kaye Simmons of Evansville, IN 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday July 16, 2009 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel in Sebree, KY. There will be a Masonic Service 7:00 P.M. Wednesday July 15 at the funeral home. Rev. Rudy Moser will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Wednesday and 9 A.M.-until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sauls, Sherman Carver, Bruce Wiggins, Paul Ashbrook, Keith Scott, Jimmy Simmons, James Woodard, and Ronnie Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children
