Jacqueline Jo "Jackie" Gilbert

Jacqueline Jo “Jackie” Gilbert, 71, of Henderson, passed away Monday January 22, 2024 at Henderson Nursing and Rehab.

Jackie was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on March 24, 1952 to the late Jack and Janet Gillespie.

Jackie enjoyed playing cards, loved her grandkids, movies and serving as a dedicated member of the Shoney’s team. As a wife and homemaker, she left a lasting impact on those around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest “Ernie” Gilbert and one sister Cherilyn Gillespie-Sherman.

Survivors include five children Janet Williams (Lavender), Christopher Gilbert (Michelle), Melissa Gilbert (Felix), Jeffery Gilbert (Melissa), Jeremy Gilbert (Heather) all of Henderson; two sisters Dawn Latimer Newman and Kim Latimer McConnell both of Aurora, Indiana; 14 grandchildren Brianne Burris (Anthony), Kimberlyn Williams, Brooklynn Olivencia (Kalon Kurtz), John Olivencia, Adrianna Gilbert, Devin Buttrum, Hailey Gilbert, Alexis Gilbert, Leigha Gilbert, Emma Gilbert, Cindy Gilbert, Kerrie Gilbert, Victoria Gilbert, Wyatt Gilbert and three great-grandsons Braylan Burris, Dylan Burris and Braxton Burris.

Services will be 1:00 Friday January 26, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Robert Lingerfelt officiating.

Visitation will be Friday Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery in Smith Mills, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Tony Burris, Kalon Kurtz, Jeffery Gilbert, Dylan Burris, John Olivencia, Jeremy Gilbert, Brooklynn Olivencia and Kimberlyn Williams.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New Hope Animal Shelter.
