James Emmitt Allen

James Emmitt Allen, 70, of Reed, Ky passed away October 9, 2017 at Methodist Hospital.  He was born on July 09, 1947 to the late James and Thelma (Purcell) Allen in Henderson, KY.  James belonged to Beals Pentecostal Church in Reed.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved stock car races.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Sue (Brown) Allen; brothers, Dennis K. Allen and Danny “Sop” Allen. Survived by 5 children, Angel (Shannon) Gray of FL, Jackie (Wesley) Schroader of Evansville, IN, Ina Allen of Henderson,KY, Pro (Sherry) Allen and Charity (Bud) Shelton both of Corydon, KY; 9 Grandchildren Jacob, Jon, Danielle, Hugh, Maddie-Riece, Elizabeth, Kelsey,Kristin, and Bubba; 6 Great Grandchildren; 2 nieces.  Services will be on October 12, 2017 at 6:00PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Rev.
