James A. Anthony, Jr, 79 of Hanson, KY and Waynesville, NC, passed away December 13, 2017 at his residence in Hanson.He was born in Louisville, KY on October 28, 1938 to the late James A. and Helen (Thomas) Anthony and spent his formative years in Atlanta, GA.James was a graduate of Georgia Tech receiving a degree in Civil Engineering and his Masters in Business. He was an accomplished Real Estate Developer participating in the development of planned communities such as Sea Pines Plantation, Kiawah Island, Amelia Island, Johns Island, Spring Island and Balsam Mountain Preserve.   He retired in 2007.  Jim loved architecture, books, art, travel, people, his crazy cats and many lifelong friends.James is survived by his wife of 24 years; Teresa J. (Haywood) Anthony of Hanson, KY and Waynesville, NC. Children; Deidre Miller (Christopher) of Houston, TX, James A. Anthony III of Houston, TX and Megan E.
