James R. Buchanan

James R. Buchanan was born in Nebo, Kentucky December 30, 1946 and died November 16, 2017 at home in Henderson, Kentucky.  He was 70.  Surviving is his girlfriend Terri Brinks-Burgdorf and extended family.  He was loved by many and will be missed.  James joined the Marines in 1966 and received an honorable discharge in 1968.  He also received the National Defense Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Purple Heart and Rifle Marksman Badge.  James enjoyed his garden, traveling, doing puzzles, going to casinos, his pets and horseraces.  Terri wishes to thank St. Anthony’s Hospice for caring for Jim.  Your love and support is priceless.  We are blessed to have the angels that work there.  A special thank you to Susan (Jim’s nurse), Tony and Janet Hurt and Denise Walker.  We are blessed to have each of you in our life.  Jim was a very caring and loving man.  He has requested that there be no services.  Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.
