James Lee Burnes

James Lee Burnes, 71 of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:00 AM Monday December 13, 2010 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY He was born April 11, 1939 in Heckla, KY to the late James Noah and Eunice Mae (McGregor) Burnes. He was a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Margaret “Liz” Kowalkowski and a brother Roy William Burnes. He is survived by one daughter Debbie and Husband Van Brasher of Madisonville, KY 2 sisters; Mary and husband Otis Chamberlain of Earlington, KY Shirley Franklin of Madisonville, KY Brother; Paul Curtis and wife Annie of Maryland 5 Grandchildren 1 Step grandchild 4 Great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY. Bro Gary Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at Reid-Walters Funeral Home.
