James Henry “Jim” Clark Jr., 88, of Spottsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born in Eldorado, IL on February 24, 1934 to the late James Henry Sr. and Wilma Mae (Caraway) Clark. Jim was a manager of oil field supplies and was employed by General Field Supply and Alan Supply Co. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and member of First Assembly of God in Henderson. He enjoyed working at the First Assembly food pantry and teaching the first and second year of the Bible. He was proud to participate in the Cursillo Christianity Movement and loved spreading the Word of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lynn (Smock) Clark; daughter, Jacquela Clark Greenwell; granddaughters, Seana Clark Schwartz and April Santiago Reynolds; and great granddaughter, Abigail Sizemore. He is survived by his children, James Henry Clark III (Patti) of Franklin, TN and Rheavonda Clark-Hunter (Tony) of Spottsville; two grandchildren, Brandon Clark and Cameron Clark; three great grandchildren, Aidan Schwartz, Dalton Schwartz, and Cole Majors; siblings, Roy Clark (Donna) of Colorado Springs, CO, Eugene Clark (Diane) of Benton, AK, Jack Clark (Bonita) of Tullahoma, TN, and Darlene Glover (Gary) of Shelbyville, TN; cousin, Carolyn Sloan of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Barry Steed officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, March 24 from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to your favorite local charity.
