James Darrel Cooper

James Darrel Cooper, 76, of Henderson, KY passed away on January 25, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN. He was born on May 16, 1940 in Henderson, KY. He retired after 42 years at Whirlpool, was a farmer, and a UK fan. He is preceded in death by his parents Lois and Travis (Womack) Cooper; a son Darrel Cooper; and 2 siblings: Shirley Overfield and Donnie Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Helen Cooper; his son Mark (Leslie) Cooper of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 2 daughters: Colleen (Kelly) Knaebel of Newburgh, IN, and Lisa (Marty) Millay of Owensboro, KY; his dog Buttercup; a brother Michael (Mary) Cooper of Henderson, KY; 8 Grandchildren: Corey, Christina, Justin, Ashley, Jordin, Lucas, Levi, and Logan; and 3 Great Grandchildren: Connor, Adalynn, and Owen. Graveside service will be held on January 28, 2017 at 1:00PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY with Pastor Kenny Schuble and Corey Knaebel officiating.
