James "Jim" Dooley

April 7, 1959 — April 6, 2021

James “Jim” Dooley, 61 of Reed passed away at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice surrounded by his loving and devoted wife. James was born in Louisville to Carl Dooley and Mildred (Vaughn) Dooley Lindsey. He was employed by Shamrock as a Supervisor over the Electrical Department and continued to work even after being diagnosed by cancer. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt, garden, watch westerns, bluegrass music and hanging out in his garage. James was a devoted and loving husband who lived for his wife. James was preceded in death by his father, his siblings Eugene Lindsey, Mary Helen Wilson, and his stepfather Otto Lindsey.He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Alissa Dooley; his sisters, Tracy Lindsey, Lucy Lucas (Arnold) and Dr. Julianna Lindsey (Mark Prince); Mother Mildred Lindsey; stepdaughter April Renea Brown (Daniel) and his step grandchildren Austin, Tristyn, Gavyn and Linkyn. Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Friday April 9, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Gerald Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial detail.  Visitation will be Friday 10:AM until service time at the funeral home.
