James Edward Duncan, Sr., 84, of Henderson, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown. He was born in Henderson on February 14, 1937 to the late Finis and Lola (Farris) Duncan. He worked at Accuride for 20 years and Redbanks for 6 years. He was a good family man who enjoyed boxing, watching Westerns, working word search puzzles, and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy “Judy” Ray and brothers, Robert Duncan and Bobby Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis (Horn) Duncan; children, Rebecca Walker of Henderson, James Edward Duncan Jr. (Nina) of Corydon, and Lisa Kaye Morris of Henderson; brother, William Duncan of Henderson; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 25 from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Walker, Derrick Graham, Chad Abbott, Timmy Croft, Austin Graham, and Jeffrey Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Vinson and Scott Duncan.
