James Thomas “Jim” Gibson, 75, of Benton, left his earthly body in the early morning hours of December 2nd, 2023 at his residence. He was most likely singing one of his favorite songs, stepping on the clouds, as he raced toward Heaven to meet his family, friends and loved ones who had gone on before him. He has traded that wheelchair that bound him for the last several years for a new heavenly body and is walking the streets of gold in heaven with his daughter Nikki. While his loved ones will forever miss him and his presence, we can only rejoice at what he is experiencing now in Heaven.
Jim was born on July 21st, 1948 in Detroit Michigan. He was the son of the late Mildred Lee Gibson and Amos Finn Gibson. His aunt, Irene, was instrumental in his raising and shaping of his fun loving character that we all came to love and know. He was a former tire inspector in final finish at General Tire. Jim really knew how to enjoy life. He loved hunting, fishing, jeep and motorcycle rides, loved animals, all things Christmas, but most importantly, he loved his family and friends with all his heart.
Surviving is his sweetie pie of 22 years, Bonnie Gibson, Daughter Cari Gibson, Son, Sean Gibson (Krista), Step-daughter Robin Bedwell (Brian), Step-daughter Melanie Grimes (Brian), Step-son Corey Inglish (Nicole), grandchildren, Connor Gibson, Hunter Erlich, McKinley Gibson, Tristyn Gibson, Camden, Jalyn Randolph (Tyler), Landon Bedwell, Faith Pratt, Hope Pratt, Brayden Grimes, Nicholas Grimes, Liberty Grimes, Maci Inglish, Rylee Inglish, Sam Inglish, Hunter McVickers, and Leigha McVickers, and one great-grand daughter, Octavia Randolph.
