James Henry Hayes, 85, of Slaughters passed away February 12, 2018 at St. Vincent in Evansville, IN.He was a mechanic for General Elevator Co. in Orlando, Fl., was a Navy (4 Year) Veteran and an Air Force (18 year) veteran. He was also a deacon at the Slaughters Baptist Church.He was born February 17, 1932 in Onton, KY to the late James Weaver and Harriet (Forker) Hayes.He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 5 brothers, and 1 son Keith Allen Hayes.He is survived by his wife Beulah Ray (Berrong) Hayes of Slaughters3 sons: Barrett and his wife Eillen Bartley of Largo, FL, Kenneth Dale and his wife Margaret Hayes of Slaughters, KY, and Chad Everett Hayes of Apoka, FL8 grandchildren: Danielle, Joshua, Kerstin, Kenny, Kyle, Kamryn, Jackson, and Addison1 Great Grandchild: Abigail1 Sister Mary Payne of Evansville, IN and several nieces and nephews.Services will be held 5:00 PM Saturday February 17, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree with Bro.
