James Howard “Jim” Powell, 70 of Henderson passed away 2:25 PM Friday November 12, 2010 at Methodist Hospital. He was born October 26, 1940 in Henderson Co., KY to George Washington and Nellie Christina (Littrell) Powell. He was retired from Markham Security. He was an Army Veteran and was a member of Henderson Lodge #958. He currently District 4 Constable in Henderson Co. Preceded in death by his Father, 1 son James H. Powell, Jr., 2 brothers Bill and George Powell. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Powell of Henderson Mother: Nellie Christina Powell of Henderson 3 daughters: Lisa Arnett of Robards Lori McLevain of Henderson Lettie Henderson of Henderson Step daughter Stephanie Leslie of Owensboro 1 sister Glenda Parker of Henderson 5 brothers Paul Powell of Henderson Kenny Powell of Henderson Danny Powell of Henderson Darrell Powell of Henderson Thomas “Tommy Powell of Henderson 4 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren 4 step grandchildren 4 step great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews There will be no visitation. There will be graveside service 1:00 PM Monday November 15 at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. There will be a Masonic Service at the graveside. Rev. Willard Clement will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim McLevain, George Henderson, Troy Arnett, Tiffany Darnell, Ashley Runyon, Sara Edds and Tabitha McDowell. Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
