James Whit Jackson

James Whit Jackson, 81 of Onton, KY passed away Saturday June 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1930 in Henderson, KY to the late Whitfield Franklin and Mamie (Link) Jackson. He was a member of Onton United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He was a lifelong farmer and retired Livestock inspector for the Department of Agriculture after 25 years. . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma (Poole) Jackson. He is survived by a son; Andy Jackson of Robards, KY Daughter; Sarah Shoulders of Adairville, KY 2 sisters; Mary Katherine Parsons of Evansville, IN Esthonia Edwards of Evansville, IN 3 Grandchildren; Brandon Shoulders, Whitney Spainhoward and Andrew Jackson 2 Great Grandchildren; Jackson and Brady Shoulders. Services will be held Tuesday June 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Pastor Don Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sassafras Grove Cemetery Fund.
