James “Jimmy” Edward Blake, 70, of Henderson, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at home.
He was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 22, 1953 to the late Doris Blake and late Mary (Hibbard) Burgess.
Jimmy formerly owned the antique store This and That but retired as manufacturing manager from Gibbs Diecast. He loved to travel and enjoyed volunteering at Matthew 25 and Methodist Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Blake and brother-in-law, Robert Sheppard.
Survivors include his children, Dama Bowling (Michael) of Henderson, James Michael Blake (Ashley) of Evansville, and Mary Beth Thomas (G.W.) of Morganfield; 14 grandchildren, Cailee Morgan (Aaron), Nicholas Morgan, Blake Bowling, Parker Bowling, Breanna Blake (fiancé Kody), Brennan Blake, Lauren Blake, Hunter Blake, Ethan DeLamar (fiancée Carsey), Sydney Sutton, Maddie Sutton, Elliott Sutton, Sydney Thomas, and Garrison Thomas; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Blake (Jean Ann) of Henderson, Roger Blake (Mary Lou) of Henderson, Linda Sheppard of Henderson, and Beverly Boksa (C.J.) of Evansville; friend and mother of his children, Becky Newman (Steve) of Henderson; and three furbabies, dogs Gizzy, Sadie, and Kiki.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Ken Lupton officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 23 and Wednesday, January 24 from 9 a.m. until service time.
