James "Jimmy" Bryant

James “Jimmy” Bryant, 79 of Reed, KY passed away at 1:00 PM Monday May 26, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born in Reed, KY on December 5, 1934 to the late John and Claudia (Skaggs) Bryant. He retired from Whirlpool after 37 years. He was also a carrier for the Gleaner Newspaper for 27 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist Church. Jimmy loved to BBQ chicken and make burgoo for church fundraisers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; Elaine (Wright) Bryant. 2 daughters; Terri McGuire of Spottsville, KY Jamie McGuire and husband Donald of Robards, KY 1 Brother; Jerry W. Bryant and wife Judith of Owensboro, KY 3 Grandchildren; Wade, Brandi and Cody McGuire. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday May 29, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro J. W. Haire and Bro. Jerry Francis will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 and Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Owens, Matt Owens, Brad Thompson, Brian Epperson, Raymond White and Brandon White.
