James L. Stone

James L. “Jim” Stone, 77 of Henderson, KY passed away Tuesday April 19, 2011 at Lucy King Smith Care Center in Henderson. He was born January 18, 1934 in Dixon, KY to the late Alfred and Ozel (Wilson) Stone. He was an Army veteran, a member and deacon of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Alfred Stone, Jr. and one great grandson Jonathan Poole. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Betty (Oliver) Stone 3 Daughters: Linda and husband Allan Brinkley of Henderson Donna McCullough of Henderson Debbie and husband Dan Weimer of Little Dixie 1 Son: Steve Stone of Little Dixie 2 Sisters: Dorothy Murch of Henderson Joyce Cambron of Smith Mills 7 Grandchildren: Chris Brinkley, Brandon Stone, Rachel Talley, Stephaine Morrow, Jacob Stone, Becky Weimer, Belle Weimer. 7 Great Grandchildren: Tate Brinkley, Sebastian Brinkley, Caleb Talley, Braden Talley, Jacob Talley, Kyler Stone, Trace Morrow. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday April 22, 2011 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 2360 Green River Rd., Henderson, KY. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. David Simpson will officiate. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Worsham Post #40. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Thursday April 21 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel and 11 AM – 1 PM Friday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Brandon Stone, Brandon Cannon, Doug Pippin, Jordan Morrow, Keith Manion, Jason Talley, Mike Beals and Paul Powell. Memorial contributions may be made to Lucy Smith King Hospice Care Center.
