James "Jimmy" L. Taylor, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2026, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. He was born on October 12, 1947, to the late John L. and Frankie E. Taylor, marking the beginning of a life filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

Jimmy was known for his love of life and the simple pleasures it brought. He found joy in fishing, the thrill of playing pool, and the exhilaration of singing and karaoke.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Larry Taylor, and his dear niece, Chasity Book.

He is survived by his wife, Teri Taylor; children; Hailee Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Kimberly Basham, and Johnny Basham. He also leaves behind two loving sisters, Nancy Taylor and Betty Hayes, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry on his legacy of love and laughter.

A memorial service honoring Jimmy's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, where Pastor Jack Ross will officiate. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the same day at the funeral home.
