James Lambert, 83, of Henderson, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree, Kentucky.

James was born on August 20, 1943, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Thelma (McAllister) Lambert. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Murray State University. James worked as an automotive mechanic teacher before continuing his career as a manager at AutoZone.

In his free time, James enjoyed watching old Western movies and *In the Heat of the Night*. He cherished his time with his family and the memories made with those he loved.

In addition to his mother, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Marie Lambert Lord; and his sister, Mary E. Simpson.

James is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Cindy Lambert; his children, Michael V. Lambert and James P. Lambert; his brother, David McAllister (Jo); his uncle, Joseph Lambert; four grandchildren, Eden, Shane, Davis, and Madyson; and three great-grandchildren, Holton, Izzy, and Autumn.

There is no services scheduled at this time.
