James Love

James Love, 87 of Slaughters, KY passed away Wednesday morning at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Hopkins County, KY on July 13, 1925 to the late Gipson and Mattie (Martin) Love. He was retired from L&N Railroad and was a WWII Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; John and Bill Love, 1 sister; Mary Vaughn and a son-in-law; Carl Austin. He is survived by his wife; Marie (Majors) Love 5 Children Eddie and wife Micky Love of Morganfield, KY Patsy and husband Stroud Rickard of Madisonville,KY Gale and husband Ronnie Parkest of Slaughters, KY Cathy and husband Tony Smith of Franklin, KY James A. “Jamie” and wife Laura Love of Slaughters, KY Brother; Lucien Love of Madisonville, KY Sister; Ella Stabule of Madisonville,KY 11 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday October 6, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Bro. Eddie Knowles will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery with full military rites by Madisonville and Earlington American Legion and VFW post. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
