James D. "Mitch" Mitchell

James D. “Mitch” Mitchell, 78, of Henderson, passed away May 15, 2018 at 7:35 AM at his residence. He was born on March 26, 1940 in Henderson to the late Edward and Frances (Chandler) Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 children Michael Edward Mitchell, Dawn Renae Mitchell and Joseph Lee Mitchell.Survivors include 5 children, James Mitchell, Jr., Brian Kevin Mitchell, Jacqueline Christina Mitchell, Misty Evette Simmons, Shannon Carol Mitchell Bowman, ex-wife, Laura Mitchell, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at a later date. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.
