James Owen Stone

James Owen Stone, 70, passed away 4:00 PM November 14, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1945 in Henderson to the late Robert E. and Alice (McDaniel) Stone. He retired as a Deputy Chief of the Henderson Fire Department after 26 years of service, he was also a member of the Henderson Moose Lodge #732 and a member of the American Legion Worsham Post # 40. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife Dena Stone of Henderson 2 children: Sherry Higgins of Henderson Susan Hooe of Clarksville, TN 2 sisters: Linda Graham of Henderson Shirley Wright of Henderson 2 brothers: James Everett Stone of Columbus, MS Everrett Stone of Dixon, KY 5 grandchildren: Allison Stone, Alex Higgins, Samuel Stone, Andrew Hooe, Olivia Hooe. Nieces and Nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 20, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson with Rev. Joe Wright officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Friday November 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Honor Guard.
