James Sandefur

James Sandefur 94 of Slaughters, KY passed away Saturday July 19, 2008 at Regional Medical Center. He was born in Sebree, Ky to Elbridge and Leila (Griffin) Sandefur on December 29, 1913. He was retired from Cresline Plastics as a line worker. He was a member of the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; Anna Mae Sandefur (2000), parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 daughters Mary Baldwin and husband Harry of Slaughters, KY Bettye Carver and husband Hayden of Slaughters, KY 1 brother Leo Sandefur of Augusta, GA 2 granddaughters Cathy Johnson and Cindy Bumpus 2 grandsons Kerry Carver and Jonathan Carver 11 great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday July 22 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel, Slaughters, KY. Bro. Harry Baldwin, Bro. David Bumpus, Bro. Steve Dame and Bro. Bill Crabtree will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday July 21 and 9 AM- until service time Tuesday July 22 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel, Slaughters, KY. Pallbearers will be Elvis Utley, C. E. Johnson, Franklin Johnson, Kerry Winstead, Donald Tompkins, Coy Vandygriff, Don Sandefur and Nelson Sandefur. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
