James Leslie Taylor

James Leslie Taylor, 81 of Henderson passed away Tuesday October 27, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born January 24, 1934 in Reed, KY to William Jennings and Matilda Katherine Taylor. James was a farmer and a member of Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sister; Jeanette Hallum, Edith Mae Menckey, Mary Belle Wade, brother; William R. Taylor and son; Barry Wayne Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Taylor Son; James Michael Taylor and his wife Vivian of Henderson Three grandchildren; Natalie K Reynolds and her husband Matt of Henderson Laura Beth Scott and her husband Ryan of Henderson Seth Patrick Taylor and his wife Lea of Denver, CO 4 great grandchildren: Madison Scott, Stella Scott, Hazel Scott, Ruby Kay Reynolds Nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Gary Puryear and David Salisbury will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Seth Taylor, Matt Reynolds, Ryan Scott, Carl Dawson, Billy Ray and J.B. Slaughter. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Church of Christ Building Fund.
