James Daniel West

James Daniel West, 67 of Robards, went to meet the lord on October 08, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Henderson, KY on July 17, 1954, to the late James and Janie West. He was a maintenance manager and member of Airline Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bobbie West of Robards, KY; his children Brian West of Robards, Elizabeth (Kevin) Jones of Evansville IN; his brother and sisters, Janice (Buddy) Elkin of Robards, KY, Janet (Jim) Phillips of Robards, KY, Donna Adams of Robards, KY, Annita West of Henderson, KY, Arthur (Cathy) West of Henderson, KY, Rachel (Eugene) Goins of Robards, KY;  grandson Alec West, and several nieces and nephews. James retired from Big Rivers Electric Corporation. James enjoyed working at Big Rivers and never met a stranger. James made many life long friends at work and enjoyed talking to them, learning about them, and helping them in any way he could. James enjoyed spending time with family, singing, hunting, and traveling with his wife. James was a Godly man, would give you the shirt off his back, and always made sure his family was taken care of. James enjoyed helping others and being able to share the word of God to anyone he met. Services will be on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:00 am at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. Brother Nathan Whisnant will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-7pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, KY and on Thursday from 9-11 am at Tomblinson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be family members; Brian West, Alec West, Kevin Jones, Josh Tarter, Travis Goins, Tanner Goins, and Ronnie Robinson. In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorial contributions be made to Airline Baptist Church.
