Jane Faye Mahurin

Jane Faye (Brown) Mahurin, 85 of Onton, KY passed away Sunday January 10, 2015. She was born in Island, KY on April 16, 1930 to the late Otto Brown and Alberta (Kirtley) Brown Davis. Jane was a member of Onton United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville, IN. She had worked at Carhartt in Sebree for several years. She and her husband Thornton had owned and operated Mahurins Grocery Store in Onton for many years. She was a wonderful Mom and Granny. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thornton, Son Mark Mahurin, and brother Jack Brown. She is survived by 2 daughters; Shelia Mahurin Smith of Lexington, KY Jill Mahurin Simpson and husband Jim of Onton, KY Daughter-in-law; Patsy Mahurin of Dixon, KY 2 sisters; Suzanne Davis Luiggs of Wadesville, IN Margaret Davis Martin of Haubstadt, IN 8 grandchildren; Mandy (Chris) Fambrough, Marcy Mahurin, Ryan (Jennifer) Mahurin, Gabe (Amy) Smith, Andrea Smith, Jonathan Smith, Lindsey (Josh) Steele, and Amanda (Jon) Rose. 11 Great Grandchildren Nieces and nephews Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday January 14, 2016 at Onton United Methodist Church. Pastor Greg Shannon, Pastor Marty Robertson and Greg Ranes will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday January 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel and from 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at the church. Pallbearers will be Ryan Mahurin, Gabe Smith, Jonathan Smith, Josh Steele, Jon Rose, Jim Simpson and Greg Edwards.
