Janet Lee (Mays) Cardwell, 63, of Henderson, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville. She was born in Henderson on January 16, 1958 to the late Everett W. and Emma C. (Miller) Mays. She attended Solid Rock Tabernacle in Henderson and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was the baby of 17 children and loved spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leroy Mays, Everett Mays, Jr., Jean Key, Buddy Mays, Tom Mays, Jerry Mays, Bob Conner, Noble Conner, Della Stinson, and Sharon Ritchie. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, David Cardwell; children, Hayley Lindsey (Seth) of Henderson, Aaron David Cardwell (Kim) of Henderson, Adam Lee Cardwell, and Kristina Gibson (Jon) of Florida; siblings, Jenny Fambrough, Mary Jane Nantz, Marvin Mays, Robert Mays, Peggy Bach, and Buck Mays; and eight grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 5 at Countryview Baptist Church in Henderson with Pastors Mike Ward and Seth Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 5 at the church. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is entrusted with arrangements.
