Janice Marie Emery

Janice Marie Emery, 86, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 4, 2026, at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh, Indiana.

Janice was born in Reed, Kentucky, to the late William and Edith (Chaney) Thompson.

She worked as a housekeeping supervisor at Bethal Manner for many years. Janice enjoyed camping, pitching washers, and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Emery; her children, Steven Lindsey and Donna Lindsey; and her siblings, Betty Scott, Mary York, Pete Thompson, and Wayne Thompson.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Debra Lindsey (Sue); her stepdaughter, Judy Cobb; her sister, Linda Scott (David); and her grandchildren, Colton (Shaenen), Stefani, Megan, Shaun, Jennifer, Mark, Chris, and Josh.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Chaplain Dayne Bogard officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
