Janie Meade (Vanover) West

Janie Meade (Vanover) West, 89, of Robards, passed away Tuesday November21, 2017 at 4:50AM at her home.  She was born in Henderson on June 26, 1928 to the late Rudy David and Lois Elizabeth (Vaughn) Vanover.  Janie worked at JJ Newberry’s and later devoted her time to her 7 children as a homemaker. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Coleman West, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.  Survivors include 7 children Janice Elkin and husband Buddy, Janet Phillips and husband Jim all of Robards, Donna Adams of Henderson, James Daniel West and wife Bobbie of Robards, Annita West of Henderson, Arthur West and wife Cathy of Henderson, Rachel Goins and husband Eugene of Robards, 1 brother Ed Vanover, 3 sisters Frances Rone, Margaret Williams, Eldean Whitledge all of Henderson County, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 24, 2017 at Airline Baptist Church. Bro. Nathan Whisnant will officiate.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Friday 10:00 AM until service time at Airline Baptist Church.  Pallbearers will be the grandson and 1 great-grandson.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Airline Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com
