Jasper David Lovan

David Lovan age 77 of Mortons Gap passed away at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday 10-10-12 at his home. He was born July 30, 1935 in Mortons Gap to Virgil and Mabel Turley Lovan. He was a coal miner and last worked for Island Creek Coal Company. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, the Hanson Remote Control Airplane Club and the Retired Coal Miners Club in Nortonville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Kyle Lovan and one son Troy Kyle Lovan. He is survived by his wife Patricia White Lovan of Mortons Gap, one daughter Kristy Lovan Wyatt and her husband Keith of Mortons Gap, two sisters Jonell Lovan Faulk of Mortons Gap, Kathy Lovan Bowley of Uniontown OH, three grandchildren Krishea Holloway, John David Strayn and James Paul Lovan, two great-grandchildren Wyatt Holloway and Jack Daniel Strayn and several nieces and nephews . His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday 10-12-12 at the Second Baptist Church in Mortons Gap with Bro Guy Gibbons officiating His burial will be in Salem Cemetery In Mortons Gap. His visitation will be Friday at the church10-12-12 from 9:00 a.m. until the service time. Reid-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of the service. Instead of flowers contributions may be made to the Salem Cemetery Fund
